Stefflon Don's career in Hiphop so far

On the age of 14 she moved back to England to London. Before she was famous she worked as a hair stylist that is why she always look different and experiment with her looks. When Stefflon was a child she didn't like rap music at all, she loved to sing and she didn't consider rap as music. She loved Destiny Child, Usher and Whitney Houston. When she was a bit older she started to listen to rap artist like Lil Kim and Missy Elliot and she began to like the music more. Stefflon Don likes to rap and sing about sex. When she was a guest by Domien the asked what her song "Tight Nooki" is about. Stefflon Don was scared to tell because in England they don't like it when music goes about this suspect. She is a good friend of Canadese rapper Drake. Drake once saw a music clip of the singer and he thought she talent. Since then the two rappers go out in Amsterdam and big cities like that. She said there will be Drake and Stefflon Don on a track when the time is right.

Cho and Stefflon Don

In the Netherlands we know Stefflon Don of her versus in the track “Popalik” with dutch rapper Cho. But she also was on Jeremih his album ‘’Late Nights’’: Europe together with Krept and Konan on the track “London”. Currently she is working on here solo career, dropping “Real Thing” and many more to come. She worked together with Rae Sremmurd and London’s Section Boys. Looking back on here youth she really hated it to move from Holland to England. The girls we’re much more mature than Stefflon. But when she was on vacation to the Netherlands she just wanted to go back to London. The different cultures influenced her in making music. For instance in the Netherlands you have a lot of different cultures like Suriname, Morocco and the Dutch Antilles. She is influenced in the way those people speak and likes the dutch bubbling music. She thinks being yourself is one of the most important things you can have as an artist. Her cousin helps her with her music. Her favorite style icon is Amy Winehouse. Her song “Real Ting” has a grimey style of sound. Stefflon Don comes from a musically gifted family, her mother sings in a choir and her dad is a DJ. She thinks that living in the Netherlands has provided in learning to rap faster. She thinks that Dutch people talk really fast and she started switching flows, rapping Dutch. Stefflon Don has a track with famous rapper French Montana. It only took 2 days to get French Montana on the track because Stefflon Don is signed as a rapper in the United States. She signed a deal with Motown and then she go through QC (Quality Control) who also signed Migos. You can compare her style abit with rapper Nicki Minaj or Foxy Brown. Although she is only 25 the girl has the right mindset and a lot of big dreams. Her goal with rapping is: in five years from now being one of the biggest names in the rap game. She is going to be the next big thing.
